As previously reported, on 1 August 2016, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Rules 2016 entered into force, applying to arbitrations commenced after that date, unless the parties have agreed otherwise (see Legal update, SIAC Rules 2016 enter into force on 1 August 2016). We have now published further new content to assist SIAC users:
  • Case study, Commencing SIAC arbitration (2016 Rules), authored by Richard Clegg of Selborne Chambers. The standard documents within this case study provide a worked example of the commencement of an international arbitration under the SIAC Rules 2016.
  • Case study, SIAC interim application (2016 Rules), authored by Richard Clegg of Selborne Chambers, with Practical Law Arbitration. This case study provides a worked example of an interim application (in this example, a request for security for costs) under the SIAC Rules 2016.
