Adverse possession and the Land Registration Act 2002

A note on the law relating to adverse possession following the Land Registration Act 2002, which came into force on 13 October 2003.

The note contains links to flow charts on the squatter's entitlement to make an application for registration as proprietor and on the squatter's entitlement to be registered. It also includes a list of action points for consideration by the landowner and the squatter.
