Allocation

Consigning of a case to a procedural track which determines the procedure for the case in court until trial. Allocation to a particular track largely depends on the financial value of the claim (www.practicallaw.com/1-200-3020) (see Small claims track, Fast track (www.practicallaw.com/8-205-5138) and Multi track (www.practicallaw.com/8-205-5195)). For more on allocation, see Practice note, Case management: allocation: which track?.
