Dmitry Lapshin is a member of the Moscow office capital markets team. He has experience in finance, including capital markets and securities regulations, and secured and unsecured credit facilities. In addition, his principal practice areas are banking, corporate law, and currency regulations.
Dmitry’s recent experience includes:
Representing the City of Moscow, acting through the State Debt Committee of the City of Moscow, in a €374 million Regulation S LPN issue;
Representing Deutsche Bank, lead manager for Gazprombank, Russia's third-largest bank, in establishing Gazprombank's debut €300 million EMTN program (the first capital markets deal of a Russian bank since the 1998 crisis); and in making subsequent drawdowns under the program;
Representing UBS as lead manager in the debut issue of Sberbank’s $1 billion Floating Rate Notes;
Representing ABN AMRO and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as lead managers in the debut issue of OAO Oil Company Rosneft Eurobonds, including a Rule 144A tranche (the first issue of Russian corporate Eurobonds since the 1998 crisis);
Advising Rostelecom in relation to its Level II ADR programs, including supervision of mandatory SEC reporting; and
Advising clients on various aspects of Russian securities, currency and banking legislation.
