PLC Arbitration, in association with Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, are hosting a free seminar on 7 December 2010 on strategies for enforcing and upholding London arbitration clauses. Mr Justice Burton will be chairing.
On 7 December 2010, PLC Arbitration, in association with Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (BLP), will be hosting a free arbitration seminar on strategies for enforcing and upholding London arbitration clauses. Mr Justice Burton, judge of the High Court who has given a number of judgments relevant to this area, will be chairing this event, and will be adding a judicial perspective.
The seminar will focus on sustainability of London arbitration clauses, in the light of recent decisions such as The Wadi Sudr, West Tankers and CMA CGM v Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. Speakers will be:
- Vasanti Selveratnam QC and Tom Whitehead, of Stone Chambers, who together represented the claimants in the Wadi Sudr case.
- Nic Fletcher, Head of International Arbitration at BLP.
The event is being held in the Auditorium at BLP's offices: Adelaide House, London Bridge, London EC4R 9HA, from 5.00 - 7.00 pm.
