A Practice Note addressing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirement that group health plans and health insurers provide participants and beneficiaries four-page (double-sided) summaries of benefits and coverage (SBCs) available under the plan. The SBC disclosure requirement includes coverage examples and a uniform glossary that were developed with input from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
