A sample pregnancy disability leave (PDL) policy for private employers with five or more employees that must comply with California's Pregnancy Disability Leave Law (PDLL). This policy also includes provisions on the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), as significantly amended by S.B. 1383, which became effective on January 1, 2021. This Standard Document is based in part on the prototype dated January 2023 from the California Civil Rights Department (formerly the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)).
