In August 2011, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) announced that it has appointed KPMG to conduct a survey of participants in the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme to obtain information about the administrative time and costs involved in complying with the scheme. This forms part of the government's efforts to simplify the CRC.
