This note considers the ways in which a party may seek to exclude or limit its liability for negligence and negligent misstatement. It discusses the common law position, contractual exclusion clauses, the issue of estoppel and the impact of statutory restrictions such as the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 (UCTA).
