A memorandum of understanding (MOU) (谅解备忘录) or letter of intent (LOI) (意向书) (also referred to as heads of terms (条款备忘录) or term sheet (条款清单)) for use by a foreign investor acquiring equity (shareholding) in a domestic Chinese company and as a consequence establishing a joint venture company under the regimes of China's Foreign Investment Law 2019 and Company Law 2018.
