The FTC is seeking public comment on a proprosed consent order applicable to HTC America, Inc.
On February 28, 2013, the Federal Trade Commission published a notice in the Federal Register soliciting public comment on a proposed consent order applicable to HTC America, Inc. The proposed order is contained in a consent agreement between the FTC and HTC settling charges that HTC failed to use reasonable and appropriate security in designing and customizing software for its mobile devices. Comments must be received on or before March 22, 2013 and may be submitted through the FTC's website. The FTC will review the comments submitted and decide whether to make the agreement's proposed consent order final.
