Automatic Generation Control (AGC)

Equipment that automatically adjusts the electricity generated by the power plants in a given balancing area ( www.practicallaw.com/1-521-6527) in response to changes in load ( www.practicallaw.com/4-517-5380) .

The AGC software uses real-time data, including actual generation, tie-line load flows and plant units' controller status to adjust the amount of electricity generated and delivered in the balancing area.
