The Copyright Royalty Board adopted a final rule setting the rates and terms for making ephemeral recordings of sound recordings to facilitate transmission of public performances to business establishments.
On November 4, 2013, the Copyright Royalty Board of the Library of Congress announced adoption of its final rule setting the rates and terms for making ephemeral recordings of sound recordings to facilitate transmissions of public performances to business establishments for the period January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2018.
The final rule adopts, without change, the proposed rule issued for public comment on July 19, 2013 (see Legal Update, Copyright Royalty Board Issues Proposed Rule Concerning Rates and Terms for Transmission of Sound Recordings to Businesses.
