Constructability Review

A third-party review of a design professional's construction documents (plans and specifications) obtained by a project owner before obtaining bids for construction. The review is done to identify any potential conflicts or deficiencies that may affect the contractor's ability to perform the construction based on those documents.
Performing a constructability review enables the construction documents to be revised before construction begins. This helps to minimize delays and costs associated with the need to revise the design after construction begins.
In a privately owned construction project, the owner often uses some form of construction management to perform the review.
