The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) has appointed Maria-Krystyna Duval to the position of Managing Counsel. Ms Duval, who commenced the role at HKIAC in August 2015, has worked with several major international law firms in Paris and London, as well as a number of international organisations.
In what has been a very busy month, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) has made further announcements during the last week, including:
the launch of new International Arbitration Practice Guidelines, which are due to be published at the beginning of October, in order to promote consistent decision making and to identify current best practice in international commercial arbitration;
