EU-Japan competition co-operation agreement to be upgraded | Practical Law

On 15 March 2016, the European Commission announced that Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager and Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) Chairman Kazuyuki Sugimoto have agreed to prepare the upgrading of the 2003 EU-Japan Co-operation Agreement on Anti-competitive Activities so as to allow for the exchange of evidence during investigations.
