The amendment of the Competition Act implementing EC Regulation 1/2003 (see www.practicallaw.com/a39718 "Amendment to the Competition Act") did not come into force on 1 May 2004, as originally intended. Prolonged discussions in the upper chamber of Parliament have caused delays in the legislative process. It appears unlikely that the revised Competition Act will come into force before the end of May 2004.
