An update on further clarification provided by the Environment Agency's CRC Helpdesk on the deadline for disaggregation of Significant Group Undertakings (SGUs) under the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC).
Terms that appear in capital letters in this update are defined in Practice note, CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme: PLC glossary and abbreviations.
On 15 June 2010, we published an update explaining that the Environment Agency's CRC Helpdesk had indicated in a telephone conversation that the Highest Parent Undertaking (HPU) of a Group which intends to disaggregate a Significant Group Undertaking (SGU) did not need to have completed the entire registration process by 30 June 2010. According to the CRC Helpdesk, it would be sufficient for the HPU to have submitted its registration information by 30 June 2010 (see Legal update, CRC: Environment Agency clarifies the deadline for disaggregation of SGUs).
However, the Environment Agency's CRC Helpdesk have subsequently indicated that any extension of the 30 June 2010 deadline will need to be considered on a case-by-case basis and the relevant persons should e-mail them if a delay in registration is anticipated so that they can consider whether to grant an extension.
