This note provides a high-level overview of the UK implementation of the UCITS Directive (2009/65/EC) (known as UCITS IV), which was implemented in the UK on 1 July 2011 by way of the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities Regulations 2011 (SI 2011/1613) (UCITS Regulations 2011) and changes to the FCA Handbook. It also discusses the introduction of tax transparent funds (TTFs) or authorised contractual schemes (ACS) in the UK.
