SEC Updates EDGAR Filer Manual

The SEC adopted changes to the EDGAR Filer Manual.
On August 29, 2012, the SEC issued a final rule adopting updates to the EDGAR Filer Manual, which governs submission of information to the SEC by electronic means. Updates to the filer manual include:
- Support for submission of confidential draft registration statements for companies qualifying either under the JOBS Act or under the SEC's policy for foreign private issuers.
- A requirement that Form ID authentication documents be submitted in PDF format.
The revised manual takes effect on September 6, 2012.
