Vexatious FOIA requests: parties' previous communications not relevant (First-tier Tribunal (Information Rights)) | Practical Law

In deciding whether a Freedom of Information Act 2000 request for financial information was vexatious, the First-tier Tribunal (Information Rights) ruled that previous unrelated communications between a council and the maker of the request were not relevant. However, the tribunal did not rule out contemporaneous information being taken into account in other requests. (Ian Pratt v Information Commissioner (EA/2012/0133).)
