The SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies announced it will meet on February 1, 2013 and released draft recommendations to be finalized at the meeting.
The SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies announced that it will hold a public meeting on February 1, 2013, which will be webcast on the SEC's website. The Committee released its draft recommendations to the SEC, which will be discussed and finalized at the meeting. These include that:
- Smaller companies should be exempted from the conflict minerals and resource extraction disclosure requirements.
- The SEC should extend the accommodations available to emerging growth companies (EGCs) under the JOBS Act to smaller reporting companies (SRCs).
On January 28, 2013, the SEC released its agenda for the meeting.
