Texas Interconnection

One of the five alternating current power grids or interconnections that make up the electric grid in North America. The other interconnections are the Western Interconnection, the Eastern Interconnection, the Alaska Interconnection and the Quebec Interconnection.
The Texas Interconnection covers almost all of Texas. The integrity and reliability of the Texas Interconnection is overseen by the Texas Re, one of the regional councils of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
