Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) announced that it has opened a new consultation period during which financial market participants are invited to provide feedback on ISS's approaches to certain long-term policy changes (beyond 2014).
On November 21, 2013, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) announced that it has opened a new consultation period during which financial market participants are invited to provide feedback on ISS's approaches to certain long-term policy changes (beyond 2014). Policy approaches on the following US topics are now open for comment:
  • Board of directors, specifically:
    • director tenure;
    • director independence; and
    • independent chair shareholder proposals.
  • Auditor ratification.
  • Equity-based compensation plans.
ISS is also inviting feedback on its policy approaches to certain topics outside the US. The consultation period closes in February 2014.
