Second Circuit

District of Connecticut

The US District Court for the District of Connecticut changed its reimbursement mileage rates for privately owned vehicles.

Eastern District of New York

The US District Court for the Eastern District of New York announced that cases may be opened electronically, effective February 3, 2014. The court also posted a new civil case opening manual.

Fourth Circuit

Western District of Virginia

The US District Court for the Western District of Virginia posted a new standing order regarding division of cases among judges.

Fifth Circuit

Southern District of Texas

The US District Court for the Southern District of Texas amended Local Criminal Rule 32.

Seventh Circuit

Northern District of Illinois

The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois approved technical amendments to local rules 8.1 and 16.4, regarding Social Security cases.

Northern District of Indiana

Effective February 3, 2014, all new civil cases filed by counsel in the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana will be filed electronically in CM/ECF. This procedure will become mandatory as of February 24, 2014. Until then, the Clerk's Office will continue to accept new civil cases filed on paper, if necessary.
