The SEC's Investor Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on July 10, 2014 to discuss, among other things, the definition of "accredited investor."
On June 23, 2014, the SEC announced that its Investor Advisory Committee, established under the Dodd-Frank Act, will hold a public meeting on July 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). The meeting will be webcast on the SEC's website and will be open to the public except during portions of the meeting reserved for meetings of the committee's subcommittees.
The agenda for the meeting includes, among other things:
  • A discussion of the definition of "accredited investor." This discussion may include a recommendation from the Investor as Purchaser subcommittee.
  • A briefing by SEC staff on market structure and the proposed Market Structure Advisory Committee.
The SEC is accepting written statements from the public until July 10, 2014.
