This note provides an overview of the rules and procedure and practical guidance relating to the enforcement of foreign judgments in England and Wales.

It explains the different regimes that apply to the enforcement of judgments from courts in EU member states given in proceedings instituted before the end of the UK-EU transition period (31 December 2020) and judgments given in proceedings instituted after that date.
