The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has launched a new patent data visualization tool that allows users to explore and search nearly 40 years of patent data.
In a September 17, 2015 press release, the USPTO announced the launch of PatentsView, a new patent data visualization tool that:
  • Allows users to search nearly 40 years of US patenting activity and explore technological, regional and inventor-level patent trends using search filters.
  • Links inventors, their employers, locations and overall patenting activity.
On September 24, 2014, the USPTO will host a workshop to encourage the development of additional approaches to reveal inventor identities. Anyone interested in attending the workshop should contact the American Institutes of Research at [email protected].
