The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has provided greater access to China's interbank bond market by foreign institutional investors, including QFII, RQFII and other foreign financial institutions. Foreign financial institutions must be qualified by and trade through an authorized onshore settlement agency, but are no longer subject to government approval or the prior quota system.
