The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television has issued a notice that provides detailed rules on the mobile game publishing industry. The notice requires mobile games publishers to obtain approval before publishing any mobile game in China. Publishers of games already on the market are required to carry out the approval procedure retroactively by 1 October 2016.
