Information Commissioner: Employment Practices Code

Published on 01 Jun 2005, England, Wales
The Employment Practices Code is produced by the Information Commissioner and provides guidance for employers on data protection law and good practice with regard to recruitment and selection, management of employment records, monitoring at work and information about workers' health.
The Code, which is supported by the Employment Practices Code: Supplementary Guidance, was produced when the Data Protection Act 1998 was in force. While it has not been updated since the Data Protection Act 2018 came into force it is considered to remain a useful source of guidance for employers.
