Fast track
A court procedure for the resolution of civil disputes usually used for lower value and more straightforward claims of more than £10,000 and up to £25,000 (Old CPR 26.6 for claims issued before 1 October 2023 and CPR 26.9 for claims issued on or after 1 October 2023). The fast track is governed by Old CPR 28 and Old PD 28 for claims issued before 1 October 2023 and CPR 28 and PD 28 for claims issued on or after 1 October 2023. It is designed to provide a quicker, simpler procedure than the Intermediate track and the Multi-track for lower value cases which do not require detailed preparation and a lengthy trial. For further information, see Practice note, Fast track.
