On 20 – 22 June 2010, the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA) held its 5th Annual International Congress in Madrid. More than 200 arbitration practitioners from 15 different jurisdictions attended this year's congress which was entitled "The Arbitrators: a Global Approach".
The Congress was followed by a lunch where a Liber Amicorum was presented to the reputed Spanish arbitrator, Bernardo Cremades.
Before the Congress, the under 40s section of the CEA (the CEA-40), also held its 4th Annual Symposium in Madrid which focused on the topic "The arbitration agreement: different perspectives".
During the Congress, the CEA announced its next major event, the International Chapters' Meeting of the CEA, which will take place in Lima (Peru) next November, under the theme "Commercial and Investment Arbitration in Latin America".
