A Practice Note outlining the process of electronic filing (e-filing) in New York state supreme court using the New York State Courts Electronic Filing (NYSCEF) system. This Note explains what rules govern e-filing, who may e-file, what documents are e-filed, how to serve and file documents electronically, and what to do when technical issues prevent e-filing. This Note also contrasts e-filing from the use of the Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS).
