On March 26, 2014, the SEC will hold a public roundtable to discuss cyber security and:
  • The issues and challenges it raises for market participants and public companies.
  • How those concerns are being addressed.
In recent years, many public companies have made headlines after suffering cyber security breaches. The growing interest in cyber security has raised questions about how:
  • Market participants can effectively manage cyber security threats.
  • Public companies disclose cyber security threats and incidents.
The SEC will provide information on the agenda and participants in the coming weeks.

Update: On March 24, 2014 the SEC released the agenda for the public roundtable. Panelists will discuss the cyber security landscape and cyber security issues faced by exchanges and other key market systems, broker-dealers, investment advisers, transfer agents and public companies.
