In St Shipping and Transport Pte Ltd v Space Shipping Ltd [2016] EWHC 880 (Comm), the English Commercial Court considered the claimant's argument that it did not require permission to appeal against an arbitral award on a point of law, under section 69 Arbitration Act 1996, because of the parties' agreement to appeal.
