Disposal of local authority land at less than best consideration | Practical Law

The government has published Circular 06/03 to convey the Local Government Act 1972: General Disposal Consent 2003, and give guidance to local authorities on the disposal of local authority land. Under the Consent, a local authority will be free to dispose of local authority land at an undervalue of two million pounds or less without the need to obtain specific consent from the Deputy Prime Minister and First Secretary of State.
