A note on the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 (SI 2008/1276), which introduced, among other things, a general prohibition on advertising that misleads traders. These regulations implemented the EU Directive on misleading and comparative advertising (2006/114/EC) and remain in force despite Brexit.
