A note considering the commercial issues arising when negotiating the transfer agreement entered into between the local authority, governing body of the predecessor school and the Academy Trust on the establishment of an Academy under the Academies Act 2010. The note approaches issues concerning the negotiation of the commercial transfer agreement from the perspective of the local authority.
