High Court rules that time spent redacting exempt information was not permitted by the FOI fees regulations | Practical Law

On 21 January 2011, the High Court held in Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police v Information Commissioner [2011] EWHC 44 (Admin), that when estimating the costs of complying with a request for information made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a public authority cannot consider time spent redacting exempt information from relevant documents.
