On May 14, 2012, the EEOC announced that private sector workplace discrimination charge statistics for US states, territories and the District of Columbia are available on the EEOC website. The statistics, which cover the 2009, 2010 and 2011 fiscal years, break down charge receipts by the basis of discrimination and the percent of total state and national charges. The EEOC plans to update the statistics when new information is available each fiscal year.
