This Law Firm Publication by Jackson Lewis LLP discusses Connecticut's recently enacted Senate Bill 910 (SB 910) which makes significant changes to the Connecticut Personnel Files Act. SB 910 mandates that employers respond to requests from former and current employees to access their personnel files within a specific expedited timeframe. It also requires employers to provide a copy of any written disciplinary action taken against an employee and of any notice of the employee's termination. The new law becomes effective October 1, 2013.
