First Circuit

District of Massachusetts

Judge Richard G. Stearns updated his:
  • Order setting civil case for jury trial. A previous version is available here.
  • Order regulating non-jury trial. A previous version is available here.
  • Order setting criminal case for jury trial.

Second Circuit

Eastern District of New York

The US District Court for the Eastern District of New York revised its civil cover sheet.
The court also posted an administrative order regarding Hurricane Sandy cases.
Judge Brian M. Cogan updated his individual practices. A previous version is available here.

Southern District of New York

Judge Vernon S. Broderick updated his individual rules of practice in civil and criminal cases.

Fourth Circuit

Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals

The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit updated its brief and appendix requirements. Under the "Sealed and Public Versions of Brief" and "Sealed Appendix Volumes" sections, the court added:
"If the material is first being sealed in this court and was not previously sealed by virtue of the Privacy Policy for Electronic Case Files, or by statute, rule, regulation, or order, a motion to seal should be filed instead of a certificate of confidentiality."

Middle District of North Carolina

The US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina announced amendments to its local rules, effective March 1, 2014, and provided a summary of the changes.

Fifth Circuit

Southern District of Texas

The US District Court for the Southern District of Texas revised its attorney admission requirements.

Sixth Circuit

Northern District of Ohio

The US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio adopted technical modifications to Local Civil Rule 23.1(c) regarding class action determination and Appendix J regarding the court's pro bono civil case protocol.

Seventh Circuit

Southern District of Indiana

The US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana announced a pilot program that will allow inclusion of active hyperlinks within e-filed and court-issued documents.

Tenth Circuit

Western District of Oklahoma

The US District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma posted a new order regarding payment of fees through pay.gov.
