This Practice Note discusses the issues that counsel should consider before planning and executing a review of their client's documents in response to a request for the production of documents (RFP). This Note addresses how counsel should consult authorities that govern production requirements, determine the review objectives, select an effective review method, identify the review set, plan the review protocol, and select and train the review team.
