Section 42 (privilege) FOIA exemption only applies where authority told information sought for purpose of litigation (High Court) | Practical Law

The High Court in Hallows v Wilson Barca [2015] EWHC 3188 (Ch) has held that the section 42 legal professional privilege exemption under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 will only apply where a public authority is made aware that the information sought is for the purpose of litigation.
