A Checklist of formatting rules for motions to compel arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) or Texas Arbitration Act (TAA) filed in a pending lawsuit in Texas district and county courts. This Checklist does not apply to an application to compel arbitration filed when litigation is impending or threatened but not yet commenced. Counsel should check the court's local rules and the judge's individual practice procedures for additional formatting requirements.
