This Practice Note provides guidance on preparing and filing a UCC-1 financing statement and a UCC-3 financing statement amendment under Article 9 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code. This Note also provides guidance on perfecting a security interest in personal property or fixtures by filing a financing statement in the appropriate records bureau.
