A Practice Note providing guidance for preparing and filing UCC-1 and UCC-3 financing statements under Article 9 of the California Uniform Commercial Code for a commercial real estate loan transaction. This Note also describes the process for perfecting a security interest in personal property by filing a financing statement with the California Secretary of State or recording it with a county recorder in California.
