A Practice Note explaining how to properly serve post-commencement documents (documents served after the original summons and complaint) in Ohio state courts under Rule 5 of the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure. Specifically, this Note explains how and when to serve post-commencement documents, whom to serve, and how to prove service to the court.
