First Circuit

District of Massachusetts

Judge Patti B. Saris revised her Standing Order Re: Sealing Court Documents to reflect that any motion to seal must be supported by an affidavit explaining the need for the sealing and that when a document is under seal, the party must file a courtesy paper copy of the complete unredacted document filed in connection with a contested matter.

District of Puerto Rico

The US District Court for the District of Puerto Rico revised its CM/ECF Manual. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Southern District of New York

Judge Cathy Seibel updated her individual rules of practice. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Seventh Circuit

Northern District of Illinois

The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois:
  • Updated its local rules, incorporating the amendments below. A copy of the previous version is available here.
  • Announced that the court is in the process of updating its trial bar membership database and that members should verify that their contact information provided to the court is accurate. Additionally, the court announced that all members must have a CM/ECF account issued by the court prior to August 1, 2015 in order to remain a member in good standing of the trial bar.

Ninth Circuit

Central District of California

The US District Court for the Central District of California announced that, effective July 20, 2015, attorneys must file new civil miscellaneous cases electronically.
Judge Josephine L. Staton revised her Order Setting Scheduling Conference form.

Northern District of California

The US District Court for the Northern District of California amended General Order No. 44 regarding the district's assignment plan. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Middle District of Florida

The US District Court for the Middle District of Florida announced that it revised its Administrative Procedures for Electronic Filing. A copy of the previous version is available here.
